Britain Remembers The Fallen

The Queen laid the first wreath at Cenotaph and led Britain's mourning.


The UK paid respects to all those killed in conflict from the 20th century until present yesterday, as The Queen led the nation in mourning.

 

Queen Elizabeth led other Members of the Royal and several politician in laying wreaths at Cenotaph in Whitehall London. 

 

Royals, politicians, service personel and thousands of specatators observed a two-minute silence, as the first stroke of 11 sounded from nearby Big Ben.

 

Around the nation, people paid their respects to the fallen. On Twitter people showed their respects by using the hashtag #2minutesilence.
