Cockleshell Heroes on Operation Frankton

For the first time a memorial for the cockleshel heroes will be made in France which is available to the public...

In World War II a top secret mission was carried out by ten british soldiers, they were told it would be a suicide mission, but none backed down.

Their mission was to destroy merchant ships in Bordeaux harbour which were suppling the German military.

They succeeded, however only two of the ten men who set out on the mission survived, now the sacrifice the've made can be honoured by all.
