The Queen laid the first wreath at Cenotaph and led Britain's mourning.

We take a look at the events that The Queen and her Royal Family will be attending this year, to mark Remembrance Day.

72 years ago to date Great Britain was the only free from Nazis european country in state of war with Germany. The others were either consumed during 1939-1940 Blizkrieg or proclaimed neutral status. Few puppet countries joined Axis Pact. 

Vichy goverment was constitutioned on 11/07 and Battle of England started on 10/07/1940. Public still didn't know all true about British Expeditionary Force (BEF) in France.

But Churchil had no resources to act and had to inspired people in these low moments yet another time...

The objectives of the initial phase of Operation Overlord (0.00 - 3.00 a.m. during the night of 5 to 6 June 1944) were to gain control of certain bridges in order to protect communications between the landing units and, further inland, to blow up others so as to slow down the arrival of enemy reinforcements...

The Liberation of Paris marked the end of Operation Overlord...

On the 12th of August it will be 67 years since the battle of the Falaise pocket which saw the destruction of most of Germany's army west of the river Siene...

68 years ago one of the most impressive air raids of World War II was conducted...
